Privacy Policy

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy describes how Internet Speed Test App (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") processes information.

This is an umbrella privacy policy for all mobile applications, websites, APIs, software, and related services that we publish or operate, including Internet Speed Test App for iOS and Android and any other application that links to this Policy (each an "App" and collectively with related services, the "Services"). A particular App may provide an additional notice when its features or legal requirements call for more specific information. That notice supplements this Policy and controls if there is a direct conflict.

For personal information processed to operate the Services, Internet Speed Test App is the controller or business responsible for deciding why and how that information is processed. Questions and privacy-rights requests may be sent to contacts@speedtestmaster.net.

This Policy does not control independent third-party services. Their own terms and privacy notices govern their processing.

3. Information we may process

Not every category applies to every App. An App processes a category only when relevant to its features, permissions, platform, configuration, or your interaction.

3.1 Contact, account, and user-provided information

If an App offers registration or cloud features, we may collect a name, email address, username, account identifier, authentication token, profile information, and content needed to create and maintain the account. We also process information you voluntarily provide through support, surveys, forms, promotions, reviews, or other communications, including messages, attachments, screenshots, and diagnostic context.

3.2 Network and connection information

Network-related Apps may process public and local IP addresses, ISP, ASN and organization, network-derived country, region or city, connection type, Wi-Fi network information, router or gateway information, device and host details visible on an authorized local network, and test-server identity or location.

3.3 Location information

Some features infer approximate location from an IP address. An App may request coarse or precise device location when needed for Wi-Fi discovery, nearby network functions, location-based results, fraud prevention, or advertising. On platforms that associate Wi-Fi scanning with location permission, permission may be required even when the feature's purpose is identifying nearby networks. Background location is used only when disclosed in the App and allowed by your permission and platform rules.

3.4 Test results, diagnostics, and user content

We may process speed, latency, jitter, packet loss, test time, server information, DNS and HTTP results, diagnostic findings, and targets you submit such as a domain, URL, IP address, ASN, DNS name, port, host, or other authorized target. Other Apps may process documents, media, settings, automation data, or content you intentionally provide to perform their stated function.

3.5 Device, App, log, and identifier data

We and our providers may process device model and manufacturer, operating system, language, time zone, country, carrier, App version, installation source, screen characteristics, browser type, session and interaction events, feature usage, API calls, error and crash logs, diagnostics, performance, IP address, advertising identifier, app-instance identifier, installation identifier, vendor identifier, push token, purchase identifier, and consent status.

3.6 Installed-App and local-device information

Where a feature requires it and platform rules permit, an App may access limited information about installed or available applications, running services, files selected by you, or other device state. We use this only for the disclosed App function, compatibility, security, support, fraud prevention, or user-requested automation, and request permission where required.

3.7 Advertising and profiling information

Advertising SDKs may process advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and App information, ad impressions and clicks, conversion events, interaction data, consent choices, and inferences about likely interests. Depending on your region and choices, this may support contextual advertising, frequency capping, fraud prevention, measurement, attribution, or personalized advertising across apps and services.

3.8 Local storage and temporary files

Apps may store test history, preferences, feature configuration, cached content, local databases, entitlement state, and temporary files on your device. Internet Speed Test App currently stores speed-test history locally. A share feature may create a temporary image or file, and transmission occurs when you initiate sharing or another disclosed feature.

3.9 Service, security, and fraud information

When a device contacts our infrastructure, we and our providers may process the IP address, URL, time, method, headers, response status, error details, network metadata, abuse signals, integrity results, and short-lived rate-limit information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the Services.

3.10 Purchases and subscriptions

Apple App Store, Google Play, and other authorized stores process payment credentials. We may receive order or transaction identifiers, product, price region, subscription status, renewal, trial, refund, consumption, entitlement, and fraud-prevention information. We do not receive full payment-card details. For Apple refund requests, we may provide Apple with subscription consumption information when Apple requests it to evaluate a refund.

3.11 Push notifications

If enabled, we or providers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging or Apple Push Notification service may process a device push token, App instance, notification status, delivery events, and related metadata. You can disable notifications in device settings.

4. How information is collected

We collect information: (a) directly from you when you enter, upload, submit, or share it; (b) automatically from Apps, SDKs, cookies, APIs, servers, and similar technologies; (c) from your device when you grant permission; (d) from app stores, advertising, analytics, attribution, security, and payment partners; and (e) from public or third-party network and registration databases when needed for a requested feature.

Permissions may include local network, location, notifications, photos or files, camera, microphone, accessibility, display-over-other-apps, VPN, or other platform-controlled access depending on an App's purpose. The permission prompt and App interface describe the relevant function. You can manage permissions in device settings, but disabling one may prevent the associated feature from working.

5. How and why we use information

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and apply proportionate safeguards.

6. Local and server processing

Local data. Information described as locally stored remains in an App's storage unless you activate cloud backup, synchronization, sharing, support, or another transmitting feature. You may be able to delete records, clear App data, or remove local information by uninstalling the App, subject to operating-system backups.

Transmitted data. Online features, advertising, analytics, purchases, notifications, network tests, and diagnostics communicate with our infrastructure or third parties. Recipients see an IP address and request metadata and may receive the other categories described in this Policy. Diagnostic targets you enter are transmitted to the provider necessary to resolve or test them.

Deleting local information does not retroactively delete data already processed by a server or provider. Where an App offers an account, use its deletion controls or contact us. Privacy requests concerning information controlled by us can be sent to our privacy email.

7. SDKs, service providers, and disclosures

Apps may integrate SDKs, APIs, and services that process data for the purposes described above. The specific integrations vary by App, version, platform, country, and feature. Providers may act as processors, service providers, or independent controllers under their own terms.

We may update our provider mix as Apps and features change. An App's consent interface, store disclosure, or in-App notice may identify additional active partners. We may also disclose information with your consent; to comply with law or legal process; protect users, the public, rights, or the Services; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce agreements; or support a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. Advertising, tracking, and your choices

Some Apps may be supported by advertising. Subject to your region, age, platform, and consent choices, ads may be contextual or personalized. Personalized advertising may use activity, identifiers, approximate location, and inferences across apps or services. Even when you opt out of personalized advertising, you may still see contextual ads and providers may still process limited data for delivery, frequency capping, security, fraud prevention, and measurement.

You can manage choices through an App's consent or privacy settings, iOS tracking permission, Android privacy controls, Google advertising settings, or device advertising settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

We do not sell personal information for money. Disclosures to advertising partners for interest-based advertising may constitute "selling," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain US state laws. Where applicable, you may opt out using the in-App privacy control or by contacting contacts@speedtestmaster.net. We honor legally required browser or platform opt-out signals when they apply. Apps may not respond to legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform industry standard.

9. Retention

• Local history and preferences: until you delete them, clear App data, or remove the App, subject to device backups.
• Account and cloud content: while the account or feature is active and afterward as reasonably needed for recovery, security, disputes, and legal obligations.
• Temporary files: until removed through the App workflow or operating-system cleanup.
• Analytics, advertising, and identifiers: according to our configuration, consent choices, operational need, and each provider's published retention controls.
• Rate-limit counters: only for their short technical lifetime.
• Feedback and support: as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support records, improve Services, and meet legal obligations.
• Security and operational records: as reasonably necessary for operation, security, dispute handling, and compliance.
• Purchase records: as needed to maintain entitlements, prevent fraud, and satisfy tax, accounting, and legal requirements.

We may retain information longer where required by law, needed for legal claims, or subject to a valid preservation order. We may keep aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify an individual.

10. International data transfers

The Services and their providers operate globally. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States, European Economic Area, and countries where app-store, cloud, advertising, analytics, or network infrastructure operates. Privacy laws may differ. Where required, we rely on lawful safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, provider transfer frameworks, or other permitted mechanisms.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; request portability; opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; or appeal a decision. EEA and UK users may also complain to their local supervisory authority.

Residents of US states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to know categories and sources, access specific information, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of covered sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Send requests to contacts@speedtestmaster.net. Identify the App and describe the request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify it. Because some Apps do not operate accounts and information may remain only on your device or with an independent provider, we may not possess data that can be associated with you. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law permits.

12. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect a child's personal information in violation of applicable law or knowingly use personalized advertising for users we identify as children. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review and deletion.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, including transport security where supported, access controls, rate limiting, permission controls, and infrastructure security. No system or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your device and using App capabilities only where authorized.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in Apps, providers, SDKs, practices, or law. We will publish the revised Policy here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible or legally required.
